Doug has always had a passion for the ocean and palm trees and has turned that passion into a beautiful art form.  He is sharing his visions of the palmetto and other palms in pieces crafted in copper.  Doug’s art attempts to combine nature’s form, the multiplicity of copper and unique techniques to capture the palm.   I utilize simple copper or brass sheets, wires and tubing to craft a variety of palms, especially palmettos.

Everett L. White

                

 Everett studied fine arts at Purchase College in New York.  He has traveled extensively through US, Mexico, Europe, and Egypt always drawing from local materials to execute original works of art. Since moving to Sullivan’s Island in January 2007, White has been working exclusively with Sullivan’s Island palm wood to create innovative sculpture and paintings.
